Signing on to view your accounts from the 1st Bank of Sea Isle City's Home Page is safe. The moment you click the Login button, your username and password are encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, keeping your information secure.

In addition, our Personal Internet Banking,  eBanking for Business and Bill Pay-e systems also offer Layered Authentication.

Layered Authentication
Layered authentication, also known as multi-factor authentication (MFA), is a multi-layered security process that validates the identity of each visitor to our Personal Internet Banking who attempts to access account information electronically. 1st Bank has selected RSA Adaptive Authentication (RSA) as its layered authentication solution for Retail Internet Banking. RSA is a machine metrics-based solution designed for customers who access their accounts from a home or office workstation. In a machine metrics-based solution, each workstation is identified by a specific set of criteria and validated upon login after the customer has completed a quick computer registration process.
When you access your accounts from a non-registered computer, such as at an Internet cafe or library, you will be prompted to answer specific challenge questions. If the challenge process is completed successfully, access to Retail Internet Banking is permitted and you will be allowed to perform transactions.

Log In Authentication
Logging in to Retail Internet Banking involves several layers of authentication:

  • The first layer of authentication, which uses an access ID and a password, verifies that the customer is authorized to access a particular account.

  • The second layer of authentication, which uses an image, a pass phrase, and challenge questions, protects the customer's personal account information by validating that the customer is at your financial institution's Web site and has not been re-directed to a fraudulent Web site posing as your financial institution's Web site.

Q: Which browsers does Multi-factor Authentication support?
A: MFA supports the same browsers that are supported for our Personal Internet Banking product.
 
Q: If Flash software is not required for the product, what happens if I delete the cookies on a PC?
A: The product will still work and you will not have to re-enroll. More than 60 factors are used to evaluate a PC during the login process, and cookies are just one of those factors.
 
Q: What level of Internet security is recommended for a PC (high, medium, low)? Will that security level interfere with MFA?
A: You can use the same security level that you were using prior to enrolling in MFA. It will not interfere with MFA.
